Casco Days Comes Back Stronger than Ever in 2021!

After last year’s hiatus Casco Days came back stronger than ever in 2021! As the final coins are being counted and the remaining stuffed animals and antique rides get packed back into the barn, the Casco Day Fair Association board would like to send a huge thank you to our sponsors and team of volunteers who work endlessly behind the scenes and during the event to make Casco Days happen!

There is truly nothing like the energy and spirit when Casco Days Park comes to life at the end of July - from family traditions that go back decades to newcomers that become lifers, people of all ages enjoy the rides, food, games, and rich tradition that Casco Days offers. An entire community came together, pulling off a record-breaking 3-day festival, all to benefit the Casco Day Fair Association and the community organizations it supports.

Thursday night's rain didn't hold back the crowd as families and friends were eager to partake in the opening night of Casco Days. Coins clinked across boards, Beano numbers were called, the Merry-Go-Round spun in circles, bonus prize tickets flew off the shelf, and the food booth, fried dough, and lemonade lines wove throughout the midway as the long-standing tradition kicked off. The food booth served up a record number of hamburgers, French fries, onion rings, sausages, fried dough, fresh squeezed lemonades, cotton candy, and more.  The postponed fireworks show impressed the crowd on Friday, with ‘ooohs and ahhhhs’ heard around the village.  Once again, Friday night’s Children’s Parade oozed of cuteness and cleverness, while hundreds of spectators lined the streets on Saturday afternoon for the Grand Parade. While we missed our traditional camp runners, over 300 runners crossed the finish line on Saturday morning’s 42nd annual four-miler road race!  And, new to the event in 2021, KindKids Music put on a fabulous show as children danced to their tunes.

People from local businesses, churches, community service organizations, athletic teams, schools, camps, as well as whole families, get involved to help pull the event off.  Lake Region High School athletic teams combined to volunteer over 150-hours to help set up and take down the event this year! It takes a huge number of volunteer hours and hard work to make Casco Days happen, and it all goes toward raising dollars that flow back into the local community- thank you to everyone who helped along the way this year.

Finally, our sincere thanks to all the wonderful folks who came to the 86th Annual Casco Days celebration.  To the hundreds of people who make Casco Days the reason to get together and celebrate family, community, and pure summer fun every year—THANK YOU—without your support we would not be able to help local charities and groups.  See you in 2022…always the last Saturday in July!
